A man was found murdered at New Road, one of the busiest places in Nepalgunj, on Wednesday. The incident comes amid the backdrop of the ongoing security meet of Mid Western and Far Western Region underway in the city.
The unidentified victim was found brutally murdered at the terrace of an under construction house in Tribeni Mod, Nepalgunj. The police have informed that the victim was beaten to death using a hoe in his head after severing his hand.
The police have not been able to identify the victim and the individuals involved in the incident that occurred on Tuesday night. However, police have detained three for further investigation.
The incident that occurred in less than 24 hours after Acting Prime Minister and Home Minister Bam Dev Gautam directed the security agencies to pay attention to election-focused security plan for holding the local body election in a free, fair and fear-free environment, has raised the challenge to step up the security.
The police involved in the investigation have suspected personal rift as the reason behind the murder.
